This post card dates from the early 20th century when this section of Clifton Avenue, between Park and Bloomfield Avenues had a number of large and elegant homes. The home on the corner became a hospital and was later replaced by a brick building known as The Hospital for Crippled Children. This hospital later closed and the land and building were acquired by the Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. They subsequently razed the hospital and put a parking lot in its place.
