I had the opportunity to purchase nine issues of the 1937 L. Bamberger employee magazine Counter Currents. Each issue covered a wide range subjects that would have been of interest to the employees – both business and personal. Topics ranged from births and weddings to anniversaries of service and upcoming sales. All the stores departments were covered from WOR, Bamberger’s radio station to the warehouse on Plane Street( now University Avenue). From my perspective 78 years after these magazines were published it would appear the Bamberger’s was a great place to work. I share these few covers with you. I  found them to have a timeless appeal.
