Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edison wait for a TRAIN in Newark.

About to begin a Florida trip in January 1931 the Edison’s wait patiently at Newark’s Market Street Station, the predecessor to  the current Pennsylvania Station. The inventor and his party would travel in style via a private car courtesy of Harvey Firestone the tire manufacturer and a friend of the Edison’s. By October of 1931, the elderly Mr.  Edison would be deceased.
