At one time most of the hospitals in Newark had nursing schools. The Presbyterian Hospital , which closed in 1996 was no exception. They had a beautiful brick nursing school situated about 100 feet in from 9th Avenue that extended from So. !0th to So. 11th Street. This nurse’s pin belonged to P. Davis and she received it in 1958. Ms. Davis ( I’m assuming the owner was female) must have taken good care of it because it looks brand new. I was lucky to get this gold pin as I’m sure many have been sold for scrap.
