A very nice feature of the young Branch Brook Park was a cove slightly north of the Park Avenue Bridge where children could swim and splash around. I have included a photo of a map of the park from 1926 On this map the alcove appears on the left side shaped like an ear with an odd little island at its mouth. This area has since been filled in.
John (the far right) and I (the far left) remember our good old days. We will reunite at the same spot this coming summer
